Wiggle Spin!

On Friday 14th August, Lawley Village Line Dance Club were delighted to be invited along to take part in a community session as part of Lightmoor Village’s youth activities.

It was a fun-filled session, with everyone getting involved and having a go at dances including Stand By Me and Ah-Si! Jay and Jess also gave a demonstration of Fever Dream, which proved to be a popular choice, with those taking part telling us it was one of their favourite songs.

As the session drew to a close, we decided to try something a little different! We gave the young people the opportunity to have a go at choreographing their very own line dance to Fever Dream by Alex Warren.

And that’s how Wiggle Spin! was born! 🤠💃

Jay, Jess and Andree put the newly created dance to the test, dancing it through a couple of times to the music — and we had so much fun with it that Jay promised Willow and Nola he would type up an official step sheet and publish their creation!

But the story didn’t end there…

Later that evening, we demonstrated Wiggle Spin! at both of our Friday classes. During the second class, our dancers soon started joining in, following along and picking up the steps as they watched. By the end, they enjoyed it so much that they asked to dance it again — so, of course, we did! 🎶

So here it is… Wiggle Spin!, created during a brilliant community session and then danced for the very first time by our club later that same evening.
